The Story Behind Our Logo

In some of the earliest days of the Christian faith during heavy persecution, believers would use secret signs to communicate with each other - like the fish symbol ( ) or the Greek word for fish IXOYE. It’s thought this might be a reference to Matthew 4:19 when Christ called his disciples to become “fishers of men.” The wheel is one such symbol which the early Christians used - with each spoke of the wheel becoming a letter in the word IXOYE. Each letter traced within the wheel represents a different word - Iota for Jesus, Chi for Christ, Theta for God, Upsilon for son, and Sigma for savior. Together they form “Jesus Christ God’s Son Savior” - a recognition of Christ’s role as savior in fulfillment of the Old Testament.

Here’s how the IXOYE wheel breaks down visually

Iota
Jesus
Chi
Christ
Theta
God
Upsilon
Son
Sigma
Savior

We’ve added an additional layer of symbolism to the wheel with olive trees on the spokes - representing Christ’s work as Bringer of Life and Peace. It harkens back to the olive branch that the dove brought back to Noah - representing the peace + renewal of God’s promise.

Our use of the color blue is directly influenced by Scripture. God told the Israelites in Numbers 15 to wear blue tassels to "look at, so that you remember all the Lord's commands and obey them." We echoed this idea in our branding and throughout our collections - adding blue elements as tangible, subtle reminders of God's commandments to follow him in holiness.
